Gilbert and Sullivan's comic masterpiece has been updated with the swinging sounds of 1940s jazz and blues. The plot of HOT MIKADO does not stray far from the Gilbert and Sullivan original, with a similar satiric tone. Sophisticated lyrics and joyous melodies raise the roof with sheer exuberance in its celebration of love finding its way to conquer all obstacles.
